About
A Team of Dedicated Engineers You Can Rely On
Jeff Day
With 25 years of experience, Jeff Day gets his kicks solving your problems and bringing new ideas to life. As an embedded software engineer who isn’t afraid of a soldering iron, he thrives in developing new prototype devices as well as adding features to existing products.
Jeff is a Purdue alum with a broad experience base across a wide array of projects, including low power IoT devices utilizing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), wearables, telematics, instrument clusters, and powertrain controllers, to name a few.
These projects have generated extensive experience with vehicle networking, real-time embedded systems, protocol stacks, device drivers, RTOS, and minimalist OS environments as well as Linux Kernel development. Jeff is known for on-time deliveries, attention to detail, and making difficult technical material digestible for non-technical personnel.
Confident and capable of working from the bare-metal up to the application level, you'll find Jeff in the lab debugging hardware, in the conference room discussing budgets and schedules with management, or in front of the customer as part of a business development team.
When he's not hands-on with hardware, he is a husband and a proud father to two boys. He bleeds Kentucky blue and serves humbly as an elder and youth leader in his church. He also chairs the board for a nonprofit, Sharing Love Through Sports.
Sam Day
Armed with a passion for automation and efficiency, Sam Day enjoys solving any problem and streamlining every solution. As a young engineer in a fast-paced industry, he is growing his own talents and abilities while helping grow JLDTS. Sam got his feet wet with JLDTS as an intern in his last semester of school before joining full-time in January of 2020.
Sam is a University of Kentucky Alum with his BS in biosystems and agricultural engineering and master’s in business administration. In his time as a student, he always found himself gravitating towards programming and automation which lead him to a research position surrounding vehicle networking and microcontrollers. Following his desire to be equipped for any opportunity, Sam completed his MBA in an accelerated program before returning to his engineering roots.
Sam is a follower of Christ, husband, son, and brother. He enjoys spending his free time doing anything outside. Sam grew up at the pool where he learned there is no substitute for determination and hard work. After swimming in college for UK, he took up running but still enjoys a few laps in the water from time to time.
